The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Dealerships to Donuts: Best Practices for Energy Efficiency in the Franchise Model" on Tuesday, March 3, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Finding energy savings opportunities for a business franchise can be easy, but getting them implemented can be hard. While franchisors typically supply business knowledge, architectural designs, and equipment, franchise agreements and business models are not often designed to make it simple for franchisees to capitalize on energy efficiency opportunities.

March 4: Live Webinar on Quadrennial Technology Review

The Energy Department's  Office of the Under Secretary for Science and Energy will present the second in a series of two live webinars about the Department's Quadrennial Technology Review on Wednesday, March 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.  The  Energy Department is conducting the Quadrennial Technology Review (QTR), a comprehensive assessment of science and energy technology research, development, demonstration, and deployment opportunities to address our nation's energy-linked economic, environmental, and security challenges. The QTR is examining an "all of the above" range of energy technologies to inform the configuration of the Department's programs and priorities, industry and university engagement, and national lab activities, and will serve as a key input into the Energy Department's forthcoming Science and Energy Plan.

The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "SunShot Incubator Virtual Company Showcase" on Wednesday, March 4, from 4:00 p.m. from 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.  The SunShot Incubator Program is holding a virtual showcase to display the products and solutions being developed by current and recent awardees. This webinar will provide a high-level overview of the SunShot Technology-to-Market program and include one-minute pitches from each awardee covering their project, future developments, and their needs (funding, customers, etc.). This is an ideal forum for investors, industry stakeholders, future SunShot applicants, and members of the public to learn more about the SunShot Incubator Program's work.

The panelists will discuss how these strategies can inform the future of buildings and cities and share their perspectives on how an ecosystem approach can be integrated into the urban environment.
