December 18: Live Webinar on Residential Energy Efficiency Deep Dive, Part Two

This webinar is part of a series focusing on the Rural Utilities Service’s new Energy Efficiency and Conservation Loan Program (EECLP). Through the EECLP, the Rural Utilities Service provides direct loans to rural electric cooperatives and other rural electricity providers. The EECLP supports energy efficiency, demand side management and renewable energy generation.

On-bill financing is one way to provide customers with low-cost, up-front capital required to make energy improvements. In some jurisdictions, these on-bill programs have been operating for decades.  The webinar will discuss existing programs around the country and highlight different ways to structure an on-bill program.

Patrick Fullenkamp, Global Wind Network: U.S. Wind Energy Manufacturing and Supply Chain. This presentation summarizes an effort to develop a greater understanding of the key factors determining wind energy component manufacturing costs and pricing on a global basis to enhance the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturers and to reduce installed systems cost. Suzanne Tegen, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL): Offshore Wind Jobs and Economic Development Impact: Four Regional Scenarios. November 18: Webinar on Hydrogen Fueling Infrastructure Research and Station Technology

The Energy Department presented a webinar entitled "An Overview of the Hydrogen Fueling Infrastructure Research and Station Technology (H2FIRST) Project" on Tuesday, November 18. The H2FIRST project focuses on technical tasks in support of H2USA to ensure that fuel cell vehicle customers have a positive fueling experience similar to conventional gasoline and diesel stations, as more of these vehicles are introduced to the market and the nation transitions to advanced fueling technology. Led by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories, H2FIRST leverages core capabilities at the national laboratories to address the technology challenges related to hydrogen refueling stations. The webinar reviews the objectives, approach, and structure of H2FIRST, as well as provides a progress update on active and proposed technical tasks.
